Technical inspection
What UDT authorisations mean for process pipelines

Authorisations from the Polish Office of Technical Inspection (UDT) are more than a line in a service brochure. For process pipelines, pressure vessels and safety valves, they are essential to the technical acceptance process.
At Stalomar, we carry out welding and pipeline installation under these authorisations. Our work includes steel structures, industrial installations, heat-resistant ducts and process pipelines, including steam lines.
What this means on site
Welds, materials and documentation must meet the requirements the inspector will check. We therefore handle pressure settings, testing and acceptance documentation alongside the workshop work, rather than leaving them until the last day of a shutdown.
This approach is standard practice at Zakłady Azotowe in Tarnów and at Grupa Azoty companies. Repairs to process equipment, tanks and fittings are completed with technical acceptance, rather than simply a photograph of the finished work.
Before the first weld
If you are planning a pipeline, a pressure vessel or an upgrade to a pump or turbine, establish the scope of technical inspection at the outset. This makes it easier to choose the right welding procedures and tests, rather than addressing them after the work is complete.
